Thu, Dec 21

The longest night of the year, winter solstice, comes with a somatic experience - an experience in our bodies - that we all detect on some level. Many of us observe the depleting daylight and dropping temperatures, but here is a chance to feel them in our bodies as extensions of the living earth.

About the Event

This event is an hour to pause and observe the Winter Solstice in community. Together we will explore:

  • old myth and lore of the solstice
  • sensing and feeling the shifts in and around us that come this time of year
  • listening to each other share rituals and memories
  • a practice for co-regulating with earth and attuning to the season's rhythm

You only need to bring yourself and as much presence as you can gather. You are also welcome to bring a candle, a journal and pen, and any other items and trinkets to accompany you as we sit, listen, share, and go inward together.

This event will be guided by Allie Mason, MS, RYT-200, founder of Plan'td Ecological Design and Revival Rituals. Allie teaches deep ecology and shares associated philosophies and practices through ecological landscape design, yoga classes, yoga nidra meditations, guided forest bathing, permaculture courses, and nature reatreats. You can reach out directly to Allie about this free event and her other offerings at plantd.services@gmail.com.
