Design, Grow, Learn
At the root of what we do, we aim to inspire wonder, awe, and appreciation for the natural world in order to lead people of all ages and backgrounds towards reciprocity and reverence for our planet and all that she provides for us. From thorough landscape designs and plans to local workshops for our young learners, we hope you'll join us in the process of restoring balance and health to local ecosystems and co-creating the world that we know is possible.
Ecological Landscape Design
Our passion lies in harmonizing the natural environment with innovative design to create landscapes that not only captivate the eye but also nurture the planet. Your vision is our inspiration. We collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, tailoring each design to reflect their unique style and values.
Every landscape we create is a unique reflection of your preferences and the surrounding environment. Our expert designers craft a customized concept that seamlessly integrates ecological principles, ensuring a harmonious balance between form and function.
You'll receive detailed plans and renderings that provide a clear visual representation of the proposed design. These documents outline the layout, plant selections, site assessments, and any other features, allowing you to envision the final product. The selection and placement of plants are crucial for a thriving ecosystem. The detailed planting plans within the renderings specify the types of plants, their locations, and maintenance requirements. This ensures a sustainable and resilient landscape that evolves beautifully over time. Our team can assist you with phasing plans, cost estimates and materials, and other custom components as well to ensure that you have the information and confidence to move forward with implementing your landscape design or passing the project onto us or another installer.

Landscape & Land Management Consultations

Our consultations include these components:

1. Preliminary Discussion: The consultation begins with a preliminary discussion where we engage with you to understand your goals, preferences, and vision for your property. We'll explore your lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, desired functionality, and any specific challenges or opportunities presented by the site.
2. Site Assessment: Our team conducts a walk-through assessment of the site, taking into account environmental factors such as sunlight exposure, soil conditions, existing vegetation, and potential ecological considerations. This on-site evaluation is essential for tailoring the design to the unique characteristics of your space.
3. Ecological Priorities: We discuss your ecological priorities and values. Whether it's promoting biodiversity, conserving water, or incorporating sustainable materials, understanding your environmental goals helps shape the direction of the design. We share insights into how ecological principles can be integrated into the landscape, fostering a healthier and more resilient ecosystem.
4. Education on Ecological Design Principles: If you're new to ecological landscape management, we take the time to educate you on the principles and benefits of our approach. This includes discussions on the use of native plants, water conservation strategies, and sustainable practices that contribute to the overall health of the ecosystem.
5. Q&A and Open Dialogue: The consultation is an opportunity for open dialogue. Feel free to ask questions, seek clarification, and share any concerns or ideas you may have. We value your input and encourage collaboration throughout the consultation process.
6. Next Steps: Following the consultation, we send you a digital PDF of our detailed notes, any sketches made on site, and a list of resources and references. You may wish to take the next step of requesting a proposal for our design services or a detailed ecological site assessment if you wish to have more thorough guidance and an illustrated vision of your future landscape.
